Acute Care ASD and Related Disabilities Inpatient Program

Foundations Behavioral Health’s Acute Care ASD Center fills a critical gap in the spectrum of services for children and adolescents diagnosed with an autism spectrum diagnosis or related disabilities who are experiencing or in crisis.

The Acute ASD Inpatient Treatment Program provides a research based applied behavioral analysis program to children and adolescents identified as having an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with co-morbid psychiatric conditions. The acute hospitalization level of care promotes stabilization in a safe environment for children and adolescents in crisis, and provides an opportunity to re-assess the supports needed to ensure intermediate and long-term success of the adolescent and the family post-discharge.

The treatment team collaboratively works with each child/adolescent to promote the development of skills related to social interaction, cognition, language, physical ability, emotional responses, self-direction, work, and play.
